What I'm getting at is I love this chicken, I grew up eating it. Over the years the food has changed, in my opinion not for the better, but still some of the best chicken around. Sadly it's the service that has kept me from going here as much I use to over the past few years and I really do hope it gets better.
WOW, the original family restaurant, still family owned and run by the grandchildren, they made my first visit something to remember. The best chicken I have ever had.
Love the place. BRING BACK THE JUKEBOX! Mute the TV or just get rid of it altogether. Bring the soul of the original Gus's back. Thanks for years of enjoyment of your wonderful establishment.
Best hole in the wall chicken joint around. Don't get dressed up, and bring cash, it's a lot quicker. Food is fresh, hot, and good.
I've been going here since I was little and it was still old man Gus cooking and there was no franchise. The place has changed allot over years, went from Gus using old cast iron to deep fryers. An almost all new building where the floor doesn't lean to the right when you walk in.
The couple of times I've been there for lunch, food was served reasonably quick & accurate. Service was acceptable - not poor but not overly friendly either. Prices & portions are reasonable.
